  • ⅔ cup butter or margarine
  • ⅔ cup all-purpose flour
  • 7 cups milk
  • 4 large baked potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 4 green onions, chopped
  • 1 ¼ cups shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper


Directions


Step 1 :- Place bacon in the large skillet and cook around medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until evenly browned, over 8 to 10 minutes. Drain bacon slices on the paper towels; crumble and set the aside.


Step 2 :- Meanwhile, melt butter in the stockpot or Dutch oven over medium heat. Gradually add flour, whisking until well-combined. Slowly pour in milk, whisking always until smooth and thickened.


Step 3 ;- Add potatoes and onions and show to a boil, stirring frequently. Reduce heat and simmer for the 10 minutes.
