Kalakand Recipe ( with Step by Step prints) 

Kalakand, a succulent milk grounded sweet with hints of cardamon, is yet another way of enjoying the virtuousness of milk. It's analogous to Barfi and generally prepared on carnivals like Diwali, Navaratri and Holi. Kalakand can be prepared at home in two different ways; 1) in traditional way by stewing the milk on low heat until reduced to semi solids, and 2) in instant way by using Paneer and candied condensed milk. The tradition cuisine approach requires longer cuisine time compared with instant system. still, whether its cooked in a traditional way or in instant way, its final taste and texture is analogous. This Kalakand recipe follows instant approach, requires only three constituents, candied condensed milk, paneer and cardamom, and explains entire process with step by step prints.

Step- 1 

You can moreover use the ready made paneer or fresh manual paneer or chenna for this recipe . Follow this recipe ( step- 1 to step- 5) to make fresh manual paneer/ chenna. Pour 2- 3 spectacles of water over set chenna/ paneer to remove any sourness of bomb juice. Keep it away until needed. 


Step- 2 

Still, thaw it at room temperature, If your want to use readymade paneer and if it's frozen/ refrigerated. Either grate it using a grater. Or alternately, you can deteriorate it using a mixer grinder; add the paneer cells in the small jar of mixer grinder and palpitation it many times to deteriorate it. 

Step- 3 

Grease inside face of small deep plate with ghee. 

Step- 4 

Add Atrophied/ grated paneer and condensed milk in a heavy grounded kadai/ visage.( Do n’t turn on the cookstove yet.) 


Step- 5 

Mix well using a ladle. 

Step- 6 

toast the admixture over low honey. Stir continuously and cook until it turns thicker. 


Step- 7 

As you stir and cook, admixture will start to stick on the sides of the visage as seen in the print. It'll take around 4- 7 twinkles to cook the admixture. 

Step- 8 

Add1/4 tablespoon cardamom greasepaint. 


Step- 9 

Mix well and turn off the honey. 


Step- 10 

Transfer admixture to greased plate. Shake it gently to unevenly spread the admixture. Level the admixture with a spatula. 


Step- 11 

Sprinkle dry fruits over it and gently press them with a spatula. 


Step- 12 

Let it cool down to room temperature. Cover and place it in the refrigerator for 2 hours to set. 


Step- 13 

Remove it from the refrigerator and cut into small pieces. 


Step- 14 

Gently remove the pieces and transfer them to a serving plate. Serve and enjoy.
